Terms of Service

By accessing or using TeraClip (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to create an account.

TeraClip processes videos you upload, uses automated systems (including AI models) to identify notable moments, generates captions, and renders short vertical clips that you can download. Output quality depends on the source material, and automated clip selection and transcription may contain errors. We may update, change, or discontinue features at any time.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

You keep ownership of everything you upload. TeraClip claims no ownership over your source videos or the clips we generate from them.

By uploading a video, you confirm and warrant that you own the content or hold all rights, licenses, and permissions necessary to upload it and to have it processed, stored, and transformed into clips. Do not upload content you do not have the rights to use — including other creators' videos, broadcast footage, or copyrighted music — unless you have permission from the rights holder.

TeraClip only processes files you upload directly. Ingestion of videos from URLs (for example, pasting a link to a third-party platform) is not offered at launch, and circumventing this limitation to process third-party content is a violation of these terms.

You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, transcode, analyze, and process your content solely to operate the Service and deliver your clips. We do not use your content to train models or publish it anywhere. We may remove content that we reasonably believe violates these terms or applicable law, and repeated infringement may result in account termination (see our DMCA Policy).

Processing is measured in credits: 1 credit covers 1 minute of source video, rounded up. Credits are granted monthly according to your plan. On paid plans, unused credits roll over up to a cap of 2x your monthly amount; free-plan credits do not roll over.

• Paid subscriptions renew monthly through Stripe until cancelled.
• If a processing job fails, the credits held for it are automatically refunded to your balance.
• Credits have no cash value, are non-transferable, and unused credits are forfeited when your account is closed.
• If you downgrade or cancel, your plan benefits remain active until the end of the current billing period.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Upload content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, or that you lack rights to process.
• Upload content depicting or exploiting minors, or non-consensual intimate imagery.
• Attempt to probe, disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure.
• Resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties as your own offering without our written consent.
• Automate account creation or abuse free-plan credits across multiple accounts.

Rendered clips are stored for the retention window of your plan (for example, 7 days on the free plan and 30 days on Starter plans), and each plan includes a storage cap. Content past its retention window or beyond your storage cap may be deleted automatically. Download the clips you want to keep.

The Service — including its software, design, and branding — is owned by TeraClip and protected by intellectual property laws. These terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or brand features. Feedback you submit may be used by us without obligation to you.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, create risk or legal exposure for us, or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, your content will be deleted in accordance with our retention practices.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that clip selection, transcription, or captioning will be accurate, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TeraClip will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

We may revise these terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will give you reasonable notice — for example by email or an in-app notice — before it takes effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
