Privacy Policy

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information: your email address, name, and a hashed version of your password. We never store passwords in plain text.
• Content you upload: source videos, and the clips, transcripts, and captions we generate from them.
• Content you create with AI tools: the text prompts you submit for image generation and the images generated from them.
• Billing information: your subscription plan and payment status. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe, our payment processor — they never touch our servers.
• Usage information: processing jobs, credit usage, and basic technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) used for security and debugging.

• To operate the Service: storing your uploads, running processing jobs, and delivering rendered clips.
• To manage your account, credits, and subscription billing.
• To communicate with you about your account, jobs, and important service changes.
• To secure the Service, prevent abuse, and debug failures.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your uploaded content to train AI models.

When you upload a video, it is stored in private object storage and processed by our workers. Processing includes transcription (audio is sent to a speech-to-text provider running on GPU infrastructure) and automated analysis of the transcript by AI providers acting as our processors to identify clip-worthy moments. When you generate an image, your prompt is sent to a third-party AI image model running on GPU infrastructure (currently RunPod-hosted endpoints) and the resulting image is stored in your private storage. Your content is only used to produce your clips and images; it is never made publicly accessible, and download links are generated privately for your account only.

We share data with a small number of providers strictly to run the Service:

• Cloud storage and infrastructure providers that host our application, database, and your files.
• Stripe, for subscription payments and invoicing.
• AI model providers, which process transcript text to select clip moments.
• GPU inference providers (such as RunPod), which run the transcription and image-generation models on audio and prompts we send them.

Each provider only receives the data required for its function and is bound by its own contractual and legal obligations.

Rendered clips and source files are retained according to your plan's storage window and cap, after which they are automatically deleted. Account records are kept while your account is active. To delete your account, email privacy@teraclip.ai from your account address — we delete your personal information and stored content within 30 days, except where a longer period is required for legal, billing, or security purposes.

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to protect the Service (for example, session and CSRF cookies). We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Our affiliate program uses Rewardful, which sets a first-party referral cookie so we can credit the affiliate who referred you; it is not used to track you across other sites.

We protect your data with industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, scoped access to storage, and signed, expiring download links. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password for your account.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise most of these directly in the app (updating your profile, or deleting clips, uploads, and generated images). To delete your account entirely, email privacy@teraclip.ai from your account address (see Data retention above), or contact us for any other request.

TeraClip is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy as the Service evolves. If changes are material, we will notify you by email or in-app notice before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
